The Costa Blanca attracts millions of visitors every year. Its white beaches stretch from Denia in the north to the southern towns of Guardamar and Torrevieja and are the cleanest beaches along the Mediterranean .

Costa Blanca MapWith an average year round temperature of 17.5C, the Costa Blanca is popular with sun-seekers summer and winter. In August, temperatures average 26C and in January temperatures dip to a mild low of 12C. High season is June-August.

The area is described as a walker's paradise with the best time for walking being the spring, particularly April. Autumn is still warm and good for those who wish to travel outside school holidays as is the off-peak month of May.

As well as its wonderful beaches, there are many beautiful towns and villages along the coast and inland on the Costa Blanca, all offering something unique either in their culture, traditions, architecture or activities. Attractions include waterfalls, theme parks, safari parks, botanical gardens and prehistoric caves.

Festivals take place all year round throughout the Costa Blanca. In particular, the San Juan Festival (24 June) is a day of fireworks and street entertainment in many places.

Whether your interest is walking, climbing, tennis, water sports, sailing, golf or just relaxing on a sun-bed absorbing the fantastic Mediterranean climate, the Costa Blanca caters for everyone.
