The Costa Cálida is situated in the south-east of Spain with the Costa Blanca to its north and the Costa de Almeria to its south.

The Costa Cálida ("warm coast") boasts the best climate in Spain with at least 315 days of sun per year and an average annual temperature of 18C.

The coastline from San Pedro del Pinatar down to Aguilas in the south offers unspoilt stretches of white sand and clear water and sheltered coves. The salt-water lagoons of Mar Menor and La Manga del Mar Menor offer great possibilities for water sports.

The area is served by both Alicante and Murcia airports with numerous flights to and from the United Kingdom. A new airport is under construction at Corvera, which is about 15 minutes from Murcia and the coast.
